"Mechanical Training" reads this Air Service recruitment poster from the US government that was created during World War 1. The subheading reads "Enlist in the Air Service". Posters like this were widely distributed during the war, and this one was made to increase enlistment in the newly formed Army Air Service. The air service was created about 30 years before the Air Force, and the artwork depicts two mechanics working on a biplane. The original artwork was done by artist Otho Cushing. The poster was created in 1919. A great piece of history. A great gift for any war history aficionado! I digitally restore the raw scans of these 100+ year old posters and make them much more suitable for printing, but I do my best to keep them as close to original as possible. The original posters were approximately 20" x 30" NOTE: This listing is just for the poster reprint and is not framed. It will come rolled in a shipping tube.
