There has been a century of confusion around this whole "Big Bertha" nickname thing. This shirt is here to set things right! Lots of people whom aren't World War One enthusiast tend to refer to the long-range Paris Gun, which shelled Paris during the end of the war, as "Big Bertha". BUT the German's themselves are the ones that gave the shorter and fatter 420mm siege howitzer the name "Big Bertha", supposedly after Bertha Krupp - the owner of Krupp Steel, which designed and built the gun. To be fair, even during the war the "Big Bertha" nickname worked it's way from the German to the Allied lines... but then the allies began incorrectly using it for almost any large caliber gun. The "Paris Gun" and "Kaiser Wilhelm Gun" are both the proper nicknames for the other long-range artillery weapon. Great for any WW1 enthusiast or history buff!
