French 105mm Brass Casing - *INERT Relic*
The Canon de 105 Mle 1913 was made by the renowned Schneider factory in France. This 105mm saw much service in WW1 once the armies stopped moving and the trench warfare stalemate set in. The French 75mm wasn't as effective in this type of stationary warfare, but the larger 105mm guns delivered heavy damage to fortified positions.
The case is dated 1918, which means it saw some action in the war. Soldiers would often bring cases like this home as war souvenirs. It's completely inert and free from all explosives or any type of filling. This is a real relic and has the expected patina of a 100+ year old item that was brought home from a battlefield. This larger caliber casing would make a wonderful display or gift to any history buff!
