"Be a US Marine!"

"Be a US Marine!" reads this recruitment propaganda poster from the US Marine Corps that was created during World War 1. "First in the Fight" it continues, and "Always Faithful." Posters like this were widely distributed during the Great War. The artwork depicts a Marine standing before an American Flag backdrop with a 1911 pistol in his hand. The original artwork was done by artist John Montgomery Flagg, the artist of the infamous Uncle Sam "I WANT YOU" poster. The poster was originally published in 1917. A great gift for any Marine or war history aficionado! I digitally restore the raw scans of these 100+ year old posters and make them much more suitable for printing, but I do my best to keep them as close to original as possible.
