"DONT TALK" reads this slightly bizarre warning poster from the Intelligence Department of the US Army that was created during World War 1. It continues "The Web Is Spun for You with Invisible Threads. Keep Out of It. Help to Destroy It. Stop = Think. Ask Yourself If What You Were about to Say Might Help the Enemy." then finally ends with "SPIES are LISTENING". Posters like this were widely distributed during the war; and this one was born of the racial/cultural paranoia that comes along during wartime. There was a lot of suspicion about German-Americans and the fear of them being spies. The artwork depicts the head of the Kaiser as a spider, sitting in a web. The original artwork was done by artist Raymond Moreau Crosby. The poster was originally published around 1918. A great gift for any war history aficionado!

I digitally restore the raw scans of these 100+ year old posters and make them much more suitable for printing, but I do my best to keep them as close to original as possible.
