"Teufel Hunden!" reads this recruitment propaganda poster from the US Marine Corps that was created during World War 1. "German nickname for U.S. Marines" it continues, and "Devil Dog Recruiting Station". Posters like this were widely distributed during the Great War. The artwork depicts a dachshund wearing a pickelhaube helmet being chased by a larger bulldog wearing a doughboy helmet. The poster was originally published in 1917. A great gift for any Marine or war history aficionado! I digitally restore the raw scans of these 100+ year old posters and make them much more suitable for printing, but I do my best to keep them as close to original as possible. NOTE: This listing is just for the poster reprint and is not framed. It will come rolled in a shipping tube.
