"Treat 'Em Rough! - Join the Tanks"

"Treat 'Em Rough!" reads this US Army poster from the Tank Corps that was created during World War 1. "Join the Tanks. United States Tank Corps" it continues. At the very bottom there is an additional note of "Open to all fighting men. All classes 18 to 45", under which it'd often have the location of a recruiting office. Posters like this were widely distributed during the war, designed to bolster recruitment for the war effort. The artwork depicts a menacing cat above an early tank battle scene. The original artwork was done by artist August William Hutaf. The poster was originally published in early 1917. A great gift for any war history aficionado! I digitally restore the raw scans of these 100+ year old posters and make them much more suitable for printing, but I do my best to keep them as close to original as possible.
